David
Business Owner
David is the business owner and Lead Associate at Air 8 Associates.
As Lead Associate David holds over 20 years experience in the HVAC industry after working for a period of time with National companies such as Transco and British Telecom. David has been highly involved in the heating and ventilation industry since 2004, starting out his HVAC career as a Sales Engineer for a West Midlands based heating supplies and installation company.
During and following this time working alongside other HVAC businesses, he has developed his skills in providing sustainable solutions for heating, cooling and ventilation systems. He is capable of specifying renewable products into both domestic and commercial settings. As well as his hands on experience David has more recently completed an Advanced Diploma in Renewable Energy, as well as attending an Open University course on Energy in Buildings.
Having been involved specifically in the Renewables sector since 2010, through his employment as a Renewables Sales Manager; the highlight of his work was involved with the design, manufacture and patenting of Natural Ventilation Systems as well as Solar Powered Natural Ventilation design and installations. From this experience he became proficient with CIBSE based in-house heat loss calculation packages. David is experienced in all aspects required to produce precise, competent building heat loss calculations in accordance with current building standards, MCS and CIBSE guides.
David is focused on Renewable Energy solutions, as well as the promotion of Energy Saving Products within the HVAC industry.
Stephen
Associate Surveyor
Stephen is an Associate Surveyor working with Air 8 Associates. His background and focus is predominantly in back office heat loss survey services.
Although Stephens previous employer closed down, this drove him on to set up as an independent surveyor. Stephen is a lovely person and an extremely fast learner, he has already developed his existing skill-set to learn all about the renewables technical surveying industry, and he is able to converse with our clients on a highly professional level.
As well as working in collaboration with us, Stephen owns his own surveying business generating his own set of clients. We don’t see working with Stephen as a challenge to our business, mainly because Stephen is honest and hard working. As a self-employed Associate, Stephen adds value and experience to our current surveyor portfolio.

Ben
Associate Surveyor
Ben joined Air 8 Associates as an Associate Surveyor following the requirement for Air 8 Associates to expand our reach into London, Essex and the South East of England.
Ben is a Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor and also Non-Domestic Energy Assessor. Ben is experienced in technical surveys for heat pump installations and has previously worked with David and Simon in carrying out heat loss surveys for both residential and commercial heat pump installations.
Ben is pleasant and well mannered as well as being easy to collaborate with, we are very lucky to have him as one of our self employed surveyors.
Simon
Associate Surveyor
Simon is an Associate Surveyor working with Air 8 Associates. His background and focus is predominantly as a Retrofit Coordinator, Retrofit Assessor and Domestic Energy Assessor. Simon has worked with us for a number of years. He is a self employed surveyor with a strong focus on surveying our commercial projects involving offices and public buildings prior to the installation of Ground Source and Air Source Heat pumps.
As well as working with us Simon runs his own surveying business, generating his own set of clients. Simon adds a wealth of building surveying expertise, as well as the provision of his technical knowledge with technical experience within retrofit building projects.
Simon is a valued colleague and brings a wealth of experience to the team!
Steve
Associate Surveyor
Steve has been with Air 8 Associates as an Associate Surveyor following the requirement for Air 8 Associates to expand our reach into the Midlands Region.
Steve is a Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor and worked within the sector for a number of years before joining us. Steve is experienced in technical surveys for heat pump installations and has previously worked with David in carrying out heat loss surveys for domestic heat pump installations.
Steve is a great person to work with as well as being easy to speak to, we are very lucky to have Steve as one of our self employed surveyors.
